Dear Mother Nature,

It's 7:36 am. I'm sitting in my backyard with my kid, trying to distract him so he forgets about his request to watch Little Einsteins, AGAIN. (It's only 7:37 am, we need a break.) The sun is not out. The sky is gray and overcast. I'm actually a little bit cold.

It's glorious.

I know this will burn off and the day will warm up to a respectable 80-something degrees, and that's okay with me. It's summer after all and we seem to have left the stifling humidity in July. And, if today is anything like the previous day, sometime before the sun goes down it will cool off, and I will open all the windows in the house, and maybe I'll dust off the airconditioning controls on my way to bed, because they're not getting much use these days.

Thanks, man lady. You have no idea what this means to me.

  1. I can't wait for Fall weather. For us, it's the perfect weather to be outside. I've loved Summer, but it's either been way too rainy or just blazing hot.
