This weekend was nice and quiet and perfectly enjoyable. Bub had a t-ball game, which remains hilarious, and was then packed off to my parents house, where he has been begging to go, all by himself for some time.
I cashed in a massage gift certificate and was told that my awful posture is contributing to my never ending aches and pains. Well that, and my thirty pound baby, I'm sure. She showed me some stretches to help and my back muscles are sore in a satisfying way today.
We had some fun alone time with Bubette, which is rare. I have a lot of time with her while Bub is in school, but my husband rarely does, and it's even more rare that we both have her all to ourselves. She definitely appreciated our undivided attention.
We watched two movies (Moneyball and Friends with Benefits) and I painted my nails an unfortunately bright neon in a too dark room.

Bub is home sick from school today, on what I suspect is a bit of a grandparent hangover, but I'm not arguing with a perfectly good excuse to keep both kids in their pajamas all day today.
Oh, and I even had some free time to make some clips for Bubette.

I suppose they were easy, but they were also rather annoying to craft and my kitchen island is still covered with hot glue spidery pieces.
How was your weekend?
I couldn't motivate to see The Hunger Games this weekend, either. Forget a midnight movie - I didn't even want to try for a Sunday matinee.
ReplyDeleteAlso, ummm... I think your nail polish is really, really cute. I have Thing for bright pink nail polish, though.
I painted my nails a dark purple and kind of hated it, so I put glitter polish over the top, and then I was much happier with it. In other news, I will probably never grow up.
Bubette's clips are CUTE! I know what you mean about the spidery glue pieces, though. Ick.
I kind of like the nail polish, too, but it is BRIGHT. That picture doesn't even come close to capturing it.
DeleteI like your nails... very spring-ish! Did you read the book? I am in the middle of it... not sure i can fully get into it like everyone else.. i must be missing something.
ReplyDeleteI read all three books. I liked the first one the best, and really disliked the third book. I'm hearing good things about the movie though, but I'm nervous to love the movie, because the story for the third book will still be the same!
DeleteWait, is that Bub's short short hair cut? How are you doing with it?
ReplyDeleteAlso, what did you think of Moneyball? Hub was irritated that though I recognized it as a good film, I found it to be horribly boring.
It is his new haircut! I'm fine with it because he likes it so much, and because his curls are long gone so I'm not so ridiculously attached to his hair.
ReplyDeleteI liked Moneyball, but didn't love the ending. It takes place during my favorite season of baseball ever - the year the Angels won the World Series, so even though it's not about that, it felt relatable.
I also like the nails. It's very, SPRING IS HERE, MOFOS.
ReplyDeleteHa! That's what I think every time I look at them now!
