I’m trying to get in the habit of sharing good things I read, so hold me to it, okay?
From Style Lush, this is a total departure from the usual posts, but I love this entry by Rebecca, Style Memories From My Mom. This is just the kind of post I want to read leading up to Mother’s Day.
On Food Lush (I swear, there’s no motive behind my Lush linking – these are just great posts!) Jennie wrote, What To Bring A New Mom (And Some Other Rules). This post is full of great ideas, including a few recipes to bring to a new mom (or anyone else who could use a break from the dinner grind.) I love Jennie’s final point: Drop and Run. My mom always tells me the story of her friend who brought a bag full of take out and her vacuum when I was born. She left the food with my mom, vacuumed the house, and left. Sounds dreamy, doesn’t it?
From DesignHer Momma, Good Moms. I wish I had written this because I think many (all?) of these things regularly.
Also by Jennie, on her personal blog this time, is Things I’ve Accepted I’ll Never Be. Not only is this post hilarious, but every single one of those points applies directly to me. Remember when I told you I wanted to start a container garden? Yeah, I bought a tomato plant at Costco (because it was $10 – HELLO) and I already dislike watering it.
Finally, a few weeks ago I wrote about my new obsession with the Kendra Scott Elle earring, and Kendra Scott HERSELF commented on the post. As Caitlin said in the comments, I love the internet.
Hey, thanks for the shout-out! xo
