Super Easy Candle Decor

I need to start by telling you that I’m wearing jeans right now. It’s not cold, but it’s not hot, and that’s enough for me! I’ve officially welcomed fall into my heart, and with that, we’ve gotten out all of the Halloween decorations.

We bought these flameless candles recently and I love them. They have their own remote and I don’t have to worry about melting the TV above the fireplace.  But, they’re kind of boring, right?

Fortunately, I cleared out the Target dollar section when all of the fall décor arrived, and bought a four pack of ribbon for $1. There’s not much of each type of ribbon, so I imagine that it’s meant to be used for scrapbooking, but I thought I might make bows for Bubette.

Instead. I wrapped these around the candles and taped them in the back, because I’m fancy.

I can’t advise doing this on candles that will actually melt, but on these fakies, it’s just the thing to jazz them up.

Ooooh, ribbon detail.

And, with just a press of the remote, mood lighting, only prettier. I think the effect would be nicer with thicker ribbon. I’m now going to hunt for something sparkly and gaudy so I can change these up for Christmas.

And I would be remiss if I didn’t show you this little cutie.

  1. Love this idea! I'm not a crafty or artistic person by any means, so this is definitely simple enough for me to follow...thanks!

  2. Oooo, I'm petrified of leaving the house with a candle still burning, so I'd love these remote-controlled versions! I wonder how they'd look with a spooky black silhouette wrapped around the bottom---like a grave marker or creepy hand? Wait, maybe skip that---your kids might be too scare to go to bed! I like your idea better!

    1. AND, they have a timer, so you can't leave them on all night. You can even find scented ones. The only thing missing is the fire danger!
