On the heels of last week’s favorite movie prompt, Ginger is asking for our favorite TV shows. I’m breaking the rules a bit here and breaking this down into two categories.
First up, my favorite summer shows
Suits This is more my husband’s show, but it’s fun to watch, in spite of the fact that I’m very worried about Mike getting caught every week.
Big Brother – We just can’t quit this show. This season has drawn quite a bit of attention for the racist remarks and downright douchebaggery, BUT this is also the first season where they made some great moves early on. Unfortunately, since the show is on three times per week, I find myself WAY over invested in these people. (Could Amanda and McRae EVER work in the real world? I’m losing sleep over them.)
Orange is the New Black – We read the book for book club a few years ago, and I liked it, but this is the book on steroids. So good.
Drop Dead Diva – Look, II don’t claim that I watch TV for the intellectual stimulation, okay?
Royal Pains – See last comment. Also, this show takes place in the Hamptons and the colors are so bright and saturated it’s like a television vacation.
Moving on to my favorite regular season shows, both current and of all time.
Gilmore Girls Can someone give me a good reason why Rory broke up with Logan? Why, Rory, WHY?
West Wing –I think I’ve only seen one episode that I didn’t think was brilliantly brilliant and we’re halfway through the second season.
Friends – Do I really need to qualify this?
Downton Abbey Or this?
The Big Bang Theory Like Friends, we keep a steady stream of TBBT on our DVR.
Friday Night Lights I’m finally starting season five and I’m slowly watching each episode so I can delay the letdown when the series is over forever.
Glee Realllly not looking forward to the season opener.
How I Met Your Mother It’s about freaking time we meet the mother.
Parenthood Perhaps the goal for the next season needs to be making us cry only once an episode, hmm?
