About Me

I'm a thirty-three year old stay at home mom of two, living in Orange County. I have a son and daughter, known as Bub and Bubette here, because I'm holding on to the illusion that there can be a bit of privacy on the internet. I'm a homebody at heart, with a weakness for bread and candy.

In my former life I was a middle school teacher, and I loved it. In many ways it's not so different from my current role as full time snack preparer for two small people.

I'm a joiner. I was President of my MOMS Club (and Vice President, and newsletter editor) and I'm currently resisting the pull of the PTA for my son's school. If my mother is any indication, I've got many years of volunteer leadership ahead of me.

During the time I'm not serving as chauffeur, Go Fish dealer and bedtime story reader, I like to read books without pictures, travel, and watch as much television as possible. It's not the life I imagined on my first day of college, but it's the life I love.
